I love being in a room full of people who are talking about the “stuff” that stirs my heart:
- What is “the church?”
- Can I live the Kingdom life without the institution? What does this look like?
- Is God bringing back the power and simplicity of New Testament-style Christianity? How can I be a part?
The first time I experienced a room full of people like this was in Houston, Texas almost two years ago. It was a small national House to House conference that was pivotal for me.
I was first struck by the lack of pretense. How refreshing! Ordinary believers that God was using to do awesome things. No one was “strutting their stuff.” Simple, powerful kingdom-centered hearts everywhere I looked.
I was thoroughly encouraged and affirmed as I walked among people who were going through the same paradigm shifts as myself. “Wow… God is stirring hearts in much the same way in hundreds and thousands of people all over the world.”
I built relationships and networked with people who continue to support and encourage me to this day. What a wonderful “support team” God has brought me through these relationships!
Because that conference meant so much to me, I wanted to help bring something similar to the California region.
If you can fly, drive, ride a horse, or walk to get to us, I hope you will take advantage of the opportunity to hang out with others who are on the simple/house church, organic/kingdom living journey.
We are NOT in the “conference business.” We are not seeking to make a dime from this. We just want to cover expenses (God willing) and bless those who are meant to come.
